At JOC Cycles, we don’t just sell bikes – we offer a lifestyle, an experience, and a commitment to excellence.
The best rides often happen between meetings, on those early mornings or when you least felt like it.
Think about the blue ocean views from the bike, coffee stops and clearing the mind.
Serious cycling isn’t separate from life.
It becomes part of it.
As a store, we`ve been around for a while, and we`ve seen how the cycling industry has changed over the years.
But what hasn`t changed is that we still love riding great bikes.
A bike fit is usually the moment cycling changes from riding to progress.
And let`s be honest, everyone loves progress.
With a better on bike position, power improves, comfort improves, confidence improves.
Improvement is what we want.
Everyone starts somewhere, why not start with your bike fit.

You`ll hear so many riders boasting about their umpteenth Cape Town Cycle Tour this time of the year.
It`s not only iconic for being the World`s Largest Timed Bike Ride or the most beautiful event but also for its traditions.
Many rock up each year having dusted their bike off a short few weeks before the event because it`s one that just can`t be missed.
Others train all year round to enjoy the vibe, the race, the scenery.
A number more are kicking off for their first one.
This annual tradition has also been shared between the O`Connor dad and daughter duo for many years. This will be the first they won`t be lining up together.
"She is really bummed, and so am I, but next year definitely again" shares John when asked about not being able to ride with his daughter.
The city bowl is already buzzing with activity and the excitement can be felt in the air.
Tell us how many Tours you`ve done.
Cape Town Cycle Tour is only a couple of days away 😬
Are you ready?
Have you started checking off your list?
Are you nervous?
Of course not, you`ve got this.
You`ve possibly even done a good number of tours already, but if you are new to this, we`ve shared a couple of things to remember.
The bits and bobs we don`t often talk about but are key to your biking ecosystem.
From sealants to tubeless valves, bike wash to tyre plugs, we have it all available in store.
And if you are new to cycling and aren`t sure what you should have with you on a ride, ask us. We are happy to give you advice.
It happens easier than you would think but don`t be a statistic 🤣
#3 of 5 things not to do before @ctcycletour
Don`t forget to check those batteries.
Running out of juice generally happens at the worst time. Power up before race day and eliminate the things that could go wrong.
Here`s #4 of the 5 things not to do before @ctcycletour 💪🏼
Check those tyres peeps.
The last thing you want to stop you from getting to the start line is a night-before flat tyre.
More painful than a race flat is a night before flat (that`s not fixable).
Especially if you haven`t been out for a ride in some time.
Pull in for you pre-race check.
Make sure you plan in way before race day.

Is your lid outdated?
You could be making a BIG mistake.
It`s not rocket science. Protecting your head is pretty important when out riding. It could be the difference between a close call and 6 weeks off the bike with one big headache.
So why would you ride with a helmet that`s cracked or 20 years old?
And worse, one that looks terrible on you 🤣
If it`s crossed your mind to replace yours, maybe it`s that time.

Be smart. Protect your pip.
